Americans Spend $1.9 Million on Renovations

The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) estimates that homeowners in a typical zip code spent some $1.9 million on home renovations and remodels. ?This boils down to about $1,400 spent per occupied home. ?In some areas, mostly in New York and California, the cost can actually be about $5,000 per occupied home. ?Because many homes across the US are?aging, more money needs to be spent on remodels to keep them up-to-date and energy efficient.
