Imagine if building a house was as easy (or difficult?) as putting together a puzzle.? That’s exactly what Pennsylvanian entrepreneur Charlie Kamps is doing by offering buyers “eco-friendly kit homes” which come pre-cut and ready for assembly.? These homes allow buyers the opportunity to cut costs associated with building a home in the traditional way: what’s better, these homes will be delivered by FedEx.? Kamps’ company, the American Sustainability Initiantive (AmeriSus) hopes that the poor economy will help drive up business for kit homes.? AmeriSus helps build the pre-cut home, and offers buyers the opportunity to save up to 70% on energy costs– the company already has over fifty homes under contract.? Still, AmeriSus is young, and it’s still hard to say whether this idea will stick.
