When most of the country thinks of Las Vegas, it’s full of bright lights, loud beeps, and something that might have happened there, if you know the ads. But locals are trying to invigorate Vegas’ downtown sector in a way that will make the city a hub of innovation.
But entrepreneurs ran into a problem with Vegas’ resources downtown: it’s full of bars, casinos, and empty lots. What to do? “We’ve all heard that most business is closed over cocktails. Why not just work in the bar?” says one entrepreneur. Lots of startups have taken over previously vacant buildings, creating a strong sense of community amongst the city’s industrious entrepreneurs. This community is working together to reshape the city that they love.
